ChildCare Careers (CCC) is hiring Substitute Preschool Teachers and Assistant Teachers for assignments throughout the Coachella Valley, including Coachella, Indio, Thermal, Mecca, Palm Desert, and surrounding communities.

CCC is a staffing agency specializing in early childhood education. We place substitute staff in public, private, and faith-based childcare programs, primarily preschools, but also infant/toddler centers and school-age after-school programs.

About the Position

These are on-call substitute positions offering flexible scheduling based on your availability and the staffing needs of local schools.

Flexible Hours: Part-time and full-time opportunities may be available. Assignments and hours are not guaranteed.
Local Assignments: Work on-site at childcare centers throughout the Coachella Valley.
Variety: Gain experience working with different age groups and in a variety of educational settings.

Education & Experience Qualifications

We are hiring for multiple positions based on education and experience:

Preschool Teacher: 12+ ECE/Child Development semester units and at least 6 months of experience.
Assistant Teacher: 6–12 ECE/Child Development semester units.

Applicable ECE/CDEV core courses include:

-Child Growth & Development
-Child, Family, & Community
-Principles & Practices of Teaching/Early Childhood Education
-Introduction to ECE Curriculum

Applicants with at least 6 semester units covering 2 or more of these core course areas are encouraged to apply.

Additional Requirements

-Ability to pass required background clearance
-Reliable transportation to travel to local school assignments
-Flexibility in job duties and classroom assignments
-Availability to begin working within the next three weeks

Job Responsibilities

Support classroom teachers and childcare programs by supervising children, assisting with daily routines, implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities, and maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment.
